Design
1ST Communications can help with every step of the design process, from helping you determine your needs, to selecting materials and colors, to recommending where to place your communications outlets. All designs are done on computer using Microsoft Visio®.
Installation
Once your system is designed, 1ST Communications' trained technicians will perform the installation, using quality materials and professional installation techniques. As the installation progresses, our technicians will suggest changes or modifications that will result in improved performance or lower installation costs.
Testing
The best installation in the world is of little value without testing. 1ST Communications tests ALL installed wiring, using quality Fluke Networks test equipment. A printed test report is provided for network wiring, while voice and video wiring test results are recorded for future reference. If you are moving into an existing building, 1ST Communications can test the installed wiring, and let you know if it will support your needs.
Documentation
When your cabling system is installed, 1ST Communications will provide you comprehensive documentation, including test results and an overview map of your system as installed. This information is continually updated as 1ST Communications makes changes and maintenance to your system. Already have an existing installation? 1ST Communications can document your existing installation as well.
Identification
Voice and Data networks can be complex. 1ST Communications labels all installed work, and we can also help you with identifing your existing installation. Our labels are computer generated, and printed on high quality stock to ensure that they stand the test of time.
Maintenance
Once your cabling system installation is complete, it will inevitably require changes as your needs evolve. 1ST Communications can provide periodic maintenance services as required, including pulling and terminating new cables, removing un-needed cables, or even setting up or moving computers and equipment. By having 1ST Communications perform maintenance, you ensure that your systems are modified to the same standards as your original installation.
Wireless
Wireless networking is the ideal choice for providing fast and simple access to your traveling employees and visitors, but a poorly configured wireless network can cause problems that limit its use. 1ST Communications can help you determine the best locations for your wireless radios, and help properly configure them to maximize security and convenience to your users.
